Boxer Sachin Siwach undergoes surgery, to miss Asian Championships

On the eve of the team’s departure for the Asian Championships in Amman, Indian boxing has suffered an injury blow. AIBA Youth World boxing champion, Sachin Siwach, has been forced to pull out of the Asian meet after undergoing surgery for appendicitis on Tuesday at the Manipal Hospital in Patiala, rendering the Bhiwani pugilist out of action for at least two weeks.
